Monday Night Arts
Beginning Monday, November 3, First Monday Art Nights will kick off at MVPC from 6:30-8:30pm. We plan to be there every first Monday of the month to come together to fellowship over BYOA (Bring Your Own Art). Bring a project and come hang out! There will be a few supplies for coloring on hand if you don’t have a project. All ages welcome! Contact Tiffany Haugen for additional information 541-556-3078. Let’s get creative together!.
Alcoholics Anonymous
They meet in the church building, and you can find their meeting times at this link: https://sober.com/aa-meeting/mckenzie-river-group/
Pickleball or Ping pong
The Fellowship Hall has been used for ping pong and pickleball for many years, with various community groups organizing the sports.
Currently, Reino Huttala’s group plays competitive ping pong or pickleball on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM. (Competitive means that they keep score and play to win!)
Reino tells me that they have as many players as they can accommodate at the moment,, but you could call Reino to get on a waiting list for new players. Or, Reino would be happy to show you around, if you were thinking of forming your own group. 541-521-5270.
Using the Church Buildings
Most community groups using the Fellowship Hall ask participants for donations each day that they use the church. These donations are given to the church, which helps with the building upkeep. You don’t need to be associated with the church to attend any of these community events.
